Storms Roadshows Experiance

BOTA Road shows: Storms Roadshows was approached by BOTA to promote vocational education through road shows. The community and students were educated on the need to view vocational education as an alternative career choice. The company scripted and trained the crew to perform the play on “Tiro ya diatla” encouraging people to enroll in BOTA accredited colleges only.

Youth and Alcohol Abuse Road show: Storms Roadshows has performed at Youth and Alcohol Abuse road shows for the Ministry of Health since 2007 to discourage young people from alcohol consumption. The show involved developing a play based on youth and alcohol abuse, recording, mixing and mastering a Kwaito song on the theme.

Orange Road show: The show involved selling of Orange starter kits and air time and educating clients about services Orange offered such as call me back, masika le ditsala, chat among others.

Maitisong Festival: Storms Roadshows has been instrumental in coordinating the Maitisong Festival outdoor shows over the past 11 years. Maitisong Festival is the biggest annual performing arts festival in Botswana. The show involved programming groups to perform, crowd control and obtaining all necessary permits. Outdoor shows attracted audiences of over 20 000 people in two weekends.

Consumer Affairs Road show: Storms Road shows developed a road show strategy for the Department of Consumer Affairs educating consumers about their rights and responsibilities especially during the festive season. The outfit staged plays on Hire purchase and Micro lending. In addition, the company created an Afro-pop signature song for the department and a mascot specific to the campaign branded “Modupi”

Barclays Road show: The company conducted road shows for Barclays in Shakawe, Gumare, Tutume, Masunga and Moshopa. Barclays Bank wanted to raise awareness of its newly opened “Express Branches” and educate the public about its new products such as Isagotso Savings and Bank Account, Barclay Card and Barclay Loan. Storms Roadshows developed high-impact, memorable plays and dances with drama trails specific to the Barclays course resulting in the bank recruiting more customers.

Botswana Telecommunications Authority (BTA) Road show: The outfit put BTA on the limelight through a road show in the North and South of Botswana through over 50 performances . The road show enabled the authority to have a breakthrough in awareness creation in areas it had hitherto not reached.

Mascom Road Show: Storms Roadshows performed a road show for Mascom all over Botswana. The show involved introducing new services such as Nzamele, Fun Package and Lotto to its clients. The assignment involved scripting, rehearsing and performing a play, dances with drama trails and running mini competitions.

NBL Road show: The company for two years consecutive years performed roadshows for National Brands Limited specifically focusing on the promotion of Trinco tea. The company performed dances with drama trails, prepared tea and gave audience a chance to sample it and also ran a competition to increase sales of the tea.

Storms Roadshows has also staged other performances such as Bliss Female Condom, IVF, Youth And Alcohol Abuse, Be Mobile, Botswana Stock Exchange and Population Services International (PSI) road shows among others.
